The ZAKY Test: Does "Graveyard Shift" survive the apocalypse?
M. L. Rio's novella review
So… on the ZAKY scale (Zombie Apocalypse Key) – based loosely on Shaun of the Dead – scores are out of 7.
7/7 — Means it had such an impact on me that, in the event of the apocalypse, I’d pack the book in my grab-bag, and probably use it as a pillow until the zombies caught up with me. And even then, I’d fight to prevent them from chewing on it.
4/7 — I’d ‘Throw it!’ as Shaun urges Ed. Or else, in the event of a cold apocalypse, I might be tempted to use this book as firewood replacement.
1/7 — Potentially a blunt weapon or a trip hazard for the slowest zombies. Or we can just borrow from Shaun of the Dead and call it Sade.
I’ll leave it to you to extrapolate the scores in between!
